Bite Sized

explores a mental health condition that affects many people. It was performed with dancers Laila Diallo and Helka Kaski at Bristol's Tobacco Factory Theatre in 2014, directed by Anna Farthing and Pameli Benham, as part of the Bristol Poetry Festival. Extracts were read with actor David Robb at St Paul's actors' church in Covent Garden for the charity Charlotte's Helix, which raises money for research into possible genetic factors. The book is published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers

The Bite Sized Project
is a series of tailored workshops and presentations
designed to reduce stigma and shame
around mental health issues
enhance understanding
and thereby improve access to care for anyone affected

The Project uses creative and engaging methods to enable complex themes to be approached and reflected on by groups so that individuals can offer their own insights and ask questions

So far the project has provided interactive learning sessions for:
• School staff in schools in south west UK
• International Eating Disorders Conference, London
• Student Health Association Annual Conference, Somerset
• CAMHS Commissioners' Conference, Taunton
• Arts & Health South West Conference, Taunton
• National Association of Writers in Education
